I am dedicating my 10km Maccabi fun run next Sunday in the memory of my dear friend Joshua Shields whose precious neshoma was reunited with his Creator last week on 9th Sivan - at the age of just 44.

Josh was a true mentch, a Torah scholar, a wonderful dedicated husband and father, a good friend and chevrusa (learning partner) to me - my shomer/best man at my wedding. Missing him dearly!

I am pushing myself to run 10km this year.

The charity I am supporting is Leket. 

Leket is the National Food Bank, is the leading food rescue organization in Israel. Unique among all other organizations that serve the poor in Israel and food banks worldwide, Leket Israel’s sole focus is rescuing healthy, surplus food and delivering it to those in need through partner nonprofit organizations.
