Story
11:FS's Tough Mudder team are raising money for Kidney Research UK.
We will be running 10miles and taking on 20 obstacles, ice cold water and lots and lots of mud as part of Fintech Finance's Team Fintech!
Kidney disease is a silent killer. There are three million people in the UK with it right now and there is no cure.
- 60,000 people die prematurely each year because of chronic kidney disease
- 64,000 people are being treated for end-stage renal failure
- A kidney transplant only lasts on average between 10-15 years before you need a new one
- More than 5,000 people are waiting for a kidney, yet only around 3,000 transplants are carried out each year
Kidney Research funds life saving research into the causes and cures of kidney disease and work with the NHS Organ Donation Register to promote awareness of organ donation, as well as research and education into lifestyle and diet related kidney diseases.
We will be taking on the full London West Tough Mudder on 5th May to raise money for this amazing cause.
