My name is Matthew and I am going to be 11 on 2nd July.  I did a ten mile run before I turned ten and now I want to do an eleven mile run before I am eleven so I can raise money for the Border Collie Trust so they can give more Border Collies forever homes.  I got my dog, Spot, from the Border Collie Trust and I want more people to enjoy the craziness of collies. This is why I am raising money for the Border Collie Trust.

Parents' note: we have done our research into whether or not this is suitable for a boy of Matthew's age and have decided, off the back of this, that the following protocols will apply to this run and his training:

1. That he is doing it of his own choice and not being forced by us;
2. That if it causes injury-type pain at any point in the run (or training) that he will stop;
3. That it should be FUN, and that when it ceases to be fun that's the time to stop.
