This has been a truly mad year so I wanted to do something truly mad to help an excellent cause.

My gran Joan was one of the most brilliant, sharp and strong women you could ever hope to meet. But sadly dementia took a lot of that away from her at the end. 

It's a horrible disease that robs people of themselves and I would do anything to help prevent anyother family from seeing a loved one go through this.

That's why I'm running 1500 miles in 12 months to raise money for Alzheimer's Research UK.
