Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit the fundrasing page of the 1711 Walk with the National Churches Trust. The 17 mile walking route links 12 of London’s finest Baroque churches starting at St Alfege, Greenwich and finishing at St John's, Smith Square in Westminster. You don't have to complete the walk to help these unique churches though! Donate now and start helping to preserve them for future generations. By giving through this page, your donations will go directly to preserving and supporting these specific churches through The National Churches Trust 1711 Fund.
The 12 magnificent masterpieces along the route were commissioned under the 1711 Queen Anne act for the building of new churches in London. The A5 illustrated Guide to the walk is available now at the 1711 Walk website.
If you are planning to do the 1711 Walk you can enjoy its entire length or just a particular section of the route at anytime throughout the year under your own steam. You can plan your own starting time and date or you can enjoy it as a spontaneous jaunt when the sun is shining!
