Emerging Influencers is a six-week leadership programme for 16-23-year-olds. This community of young adults are raising money for Tearfund's life saving work in helping people to lift themselves out of poverty. 

As part of the Emerging Influencers course we wanted to put into practice what we are advocating for. We have gathered a team to help us complete our challenge of 1,800km in a month ( the average distance a refugee will travel from Ukraine to England).

About 26.4 million people have become refugees because of conflict, violence, persecution, or human rights violations. There are more refugees than ever before and as much as the running challenge is going to be tough, its nothing compared to what these people have had to go through just to escape their country.

Tearfund is an amazing charity that works in over 50 countries to help people who are facing extreme poverty, part of their work is with the wider refugee movement working with countries like Ukraine and Democratic of Congo.
