Story

With a new year comes a new chance to do something worthy, worthy and incredibly stupid.  This all comes from a little upstart in the office called Lisa Hardy who asked "is it possible to run 10K a day for a month?".  Course it is Lisa, great challenge, great cause, off you go.  Internally I'm thinking "dammit, wish I'd thought of that".  So my phenominally simple mind wondered can you do 2014 miles in 2014? It's 5.5 miles a day every day, it's almost 39 miles a week for 52 weeks, it's almost the distance to Cairo.  Why not.

Smile with Siddy is a great charity that raises money for research into treatment and cure against an aggessive cancer that affects children called Neuroblastoma.  Siddy Cahill lost his battle in January 2013 to this rare form of cancer and his incredible parents have been raising awareness in his name ever since.

My aim is to achieve the goal of having run 2014 miles in a calender year.  I will not be able to run every day but as long as I stay within grasp of my target I feel it can be done, especially with the help of those around me.

So please donate to this great cause.  Make it 1p a mile or £5 a month or a big ol' lump some, it's all going to great cause.

Also, if you need a running partner.....................
