They come from Syria, Iran, Iraq, or Cuba. Families with babies, young children, pregnant women, and teenagers are fleeing such a level of violence that they are ready to walk thousands of kilometers in hopes of finding a new life.I witnessed the scars on their faces and listened to their stories. They want to offer a better life for their families, one in which bombings and police indifference are not a part of their daily reality. 

I want to raise my voice not so that I can shout but so that those without a voice can be heard. But words don't safe lives, your money will.
