Jack's 24hr Gameathon 2019

Jack's 24hr Gameathon 2019 · 21 October 2019
Hi, I’m Jack, for the last two years, I have organized and hosted a charity event to raise money for BBC Children In Need, called The 24-Hour Gameathon. Myself and a group of my friends stay up for 24 hours playing a selection of traditional board games and some electronic games too! It’s harder than you think! Previously we have asked everyone we know to sponsor us and have had great success. In the first year we raised £867.09p and last year we smashed that total by raising £1908.28p!!! This is my 3rd year of organizing the event and we hope this will be bigger and better than previous years. I have an amazing team this year, they are: Heidi, Charlie, George, Finley, Emma, Owen, Lucas, Jack E, Maddie, Jake, Ben, Zach, Amelie-Rose, Taylor, Daniel & Beau! The event will be taking place on Monday 21st of October, during our half term holiday. The reason I want to raise money for Children In Need is because there are a lot of children in the UK that can't play games or are unable to go to school to learn and make friends. Some of the families have little money and live in terrible poverty. Others need treatments that can be crucial for the child's life. With your help, we hope we can help make these childrens lives a little better, with more happiness and fun, as a childhood should be.

Thank you for your time.
