Richmond Marathon 2025 · 14 September 2025 ·

We aim to never turn away a dog or cat in need of help, caring for them until their owners or loving new homes can be found, no matter how long it takes. We are champions for, and supporters of, vulnerable dogs and cats, determined to create lasting changes for animals in our society.

Story

Hi, I'm Emily and I am running my first marathon in aid of Battersea Cats and Dogs Home!

As a veterinary nurse I see first hand how many sick and unwanted animals need help, and how important the work of shelters such as Battersea is to support them. Battersea takes in dogs and cats, gives them the expert care they need and finds them new homes. They help pet owners make informed choices, provide training advice, campaign for changes in the law and help other rescue centers and charities in the UK and abroad.

£10 could go towards the vital health check that all animals receive when they arrive

£25 could give dogs and cats toys and treats that reduce stress while they're in Battersea's care

£50 could give one animal warmth, safety and shelter for a day

All donations no matter how big or small will go towards the amazing work of Battersea

Thanks for your support xxx
