Story
In April 2026 I’ll be running the London Marathon in support of Save the Children, a cause close to my heart. Why, because every child deserves a childhood — a time to play, to learn, to dream, and to feel safe. Sadly, for millions of children around the world, that’s not the reality.
When you work for Save the Children it’s not a job, it becomes part of your DNA. You see the incredible work taking place, such as fighting climate change in drought prone areas by giving families drought resistant grass seeds or drones delivering blood for woman giving birth at Rwanda’s largest refugee camp or in the UK giving families living in poverty a Family Grant which allows them to buy what they are in need of most.
I know how incredible our work is and the real difference it makes. From helping kids get an education, to keeping them safe in emergencies, to making sure they have food and healthcare — it’s truly life-changing.
That’s why I’ve decided to run the London Marathon — to do my bit for them.
The children we support face challenges every single day, yet they show the most amazing resilience and hope. They inspire me constantly. I’ve got shoes on my feet and the health to run — the least I can do is run 26.4 miles and raise money to support them!
Every pound raised will help Save the Children continue its vital work — making sure children can survive, learn and thrive, no matter where they are born. Together, we can help give every child the start in life they deserve.
So when I’m out there training, through the early mornings and the tired legs, I’ll be thinking of the children who inspire me every day — the ones who remind us what strength and hope really look like.
If you can, please donate and help me reach my goal. Every bit really does count — and together, we can help give every child the childhood they deserve. 💛
