We’re sure that you’re aware of the earthquake in Nepal last month and the resultant humanitarian disaster from the images and reports in the media. 

It is estimated that more than 7,000 people died and more than twice that many were injured in the earthquake. Hundreds of thousands of people are now homeless with entire villages destroyed and a risk of further fatalities is high with shelter, food and clean water key priorities.

The 20th Sheffield (Ecclesall) Scout Group will be organising several fundraising events and this page has been created for fundraising for Shelterbox. 

Shelterbox has excellent links with the Scouts organization and Scouts have been heavily involved in both fundraising and Shelterbox distribution in previous disasters in Haiti, Guatamala and Bolivia.
