Our mission is to work with vulnerable people so that they gain access to housing, health and other services in order to achieve dignity; to make their own effective choices; and to express themselves as fully independent members of society. HAB is a ‘Place of Change’ – enabling and facilitating practical change for individuals and promoting the needs of Homeless people within our society.

Story

Homeless Action in Barnet opened its doors in 1997. It began life as a soup kitchen and has developed into a fully-functioning day centre catering for Barnet’s most vulnerable people. In a standard week, around 250 people will seek support from the experienced staff at HAB - as well as help to find permanent housing, visitors are offered food, access to showers and clean clothes and company

Our plan is to have a sponsored Cardboard Box Sleep out. Scouts will make their own shelters using cardboard boxes, newspaper and plastic bags and sleep in them.
