BAM Construction's charity event will combine the 'Sustrans Sea to Sea’ route, the UK’s most popular cycle challenge which is 153 miles from the Irish Sea to the North Sea, and a circular 5 hour walk at night over both Grey Nag and Black Fell. Both the cycling and the walk must be completed within 24 hours making this challenge extremely difficult.
Setting off at noon on Friday 11 June 2010 we will get the first leg of the challenge underway, cycling from Whitehaven to Allanheads (85 miles). When we arrive at Allanheads we will commence the overnight walk setting off at approximately 2200hrs with an anticipated walk time of 5 hours over both Grey Nag and Black Fell circling round to where we commenced the hike . After this we will begin the final leg of the challenge and cycle the remaining section of the 'Sustrans Sea to Sea' route to Tynemouth (68 miles), finishing just before noon on Saturday 12 June 2010.
After successfully completing the challenge we will enjoy a celebratory meal in Newcastle, as well as watching England's opening World Cup fixture against the USA.

Please donate as much you can afford, all team members are putting in a massive effort to complete the challenge and raising money for a very worthy cause. All the money raised goes towards fighting against (to name a few) prostate, lung, skin, oesophageal and cervical cancers so every penny is very much appreciated.
