World Child Cancer

In developing countries fewer than 1 in 10 children with cancer are diagnosed, treated or given pain relief. World Child Cancer improves cancer care for some of the world’s poorest children by creating international twinning partnerships between medics, hospitals and parent support groups.

Charity Registration No. 1084729

On the 9th January 2015. Eva and Lee are going to put their bodies on the line, by attempting to break a GUINNESS WORLD RECORD - MOST AMOUNT OF BURPEES PERFORMED IN 24 HOURS.

They will doing this to raise as much money for the amazing charity WORLD CHILD CANCER - To put simply, this charity treats children with cancer not fortunate enough to live in the developed world. And where treatment isn't possible, they provide effective pain relief

No child should suffer! So Eva and Lee are doing this to help give a child the gift of life and a reason too smile

Thanks the Zettanet Racing team. We will be attempting this record at the Dubai Autodrome during the Hankook 24h Dubai race 2015 on 9th JANUARY 2015. Direct location at the track will be added closer to the time

Both Eva & Lee will be aiming to break the male and female 24hr Burpee world record...both are expected to aim to 15,000reps in 24 hours. There will also be other smaller records attempted during the same time period.

About Eva,

I am a 35 year old Mum of three beautiful children, passionate fitness trainer, dual Guinness world record holder and dual world record holder. My last Guinness world record attempt in Janurary 2014 was very successfful we raised  23,000USD to send underprivileged children from Dhaka to school in support of the Maria Cristina foundation.

Why do I this? Well,I feel I am avery fortunate lady,I am blessed with great health, wealth - not in a monetary sense but in general - with gorgeous, healthy children, a great husband and a community of supportive friends and family both here in the UAE and back home in Australia.

Overcoming  adversities...Life hasn't always been so rewarding - I had to overcome some small setbacks and believe me, I had to work hard for everything that I have now.
I grew up in a poor housing commission home with a mother who has chronic schizophrenia and was declared unfit to raise me and my three siblings. As a result we were in and out of foster care and were deemed wards of the state.
My education suffered as I had no prominent role models to enforce rules and regulations, with the exception of a few teachers who saw some potential with my sporting prowess. Today I am truly thankful to those teachers who gave me their time, as my social and behavioural skills were somewhat like that of an undisciplined hoodlum before those teachers got involved in my upbringing.
I realised I wanted to better myself and I worked as hard as I could every day, especially when I hit my teenage years and became aware that I was accountable for my actions and realised that I needed to get myself away from that life, or I would be destined to fail. I didn't want to remain in that cycle of poverty - I was lucky enough to be a talented young sportswoman and I began applying my ability and determination from sports and athletics into my everyday life skills and developed a mindset towards achieving success. That mindset, "the will to win", kept me at school and if it hadn’t I would have quit like so many others in my situation.
After high school I joined the military and it was my ticket to a new life. I certainly know I am lucky to feel as blessed as I do and to have so much “good” in my life, but it's now time to pay it back.
I am in a position where I can give something back to the universe because I have this passion to push myself to achieve success. I am a person who loves a challenge, mental or physical, and I will continue to challenge myself as much as I can: as mum, wife and fitness trainer - running ultra-distance races, setting records, taking on fitness competitions and whatever life throws at me.
On the 9th January 2015  Lee Ryan and myself will be  giving 24 hours of blood, sweat and tears along with the zettanet racing team to raise  funds for brave children battling cancer .

Team, we need to help these children "kick cancers butt"and raise funds to allow these children to undergo further life saving treatment.
We are hoping to raise a minimum  $1.00 USD per burpee  with up to 10,000 reps each, then $10.00 per push up thereafter.
I hope that in some way we all can help World Child Cancer so we can pass on the gift of a better life. All it takes is one person to "care" and "try" to change the world. If I didn't have teachers care about me at school, I would not be in this position today to give back.
Every dollar raised will go directly to World Childs Cancer foundation and with your help we can  change the path that they thought destiny had set for them.
