Marie Curie is here for anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them. Whatever the illness, wherever you are, we’re with you to the end. We bring 75 years of experience and leading research to the care we give you at home, in our hospices and over the phone.

Story

On Saturday 18th January we embark on a 24hr cardio challenge. That's 24 hours of bike, ski and row on rotation. As anyone who has suffered at the hands of any of these machines in the past knows, this is going to be a challenge and a half, one which tests not just the body to its limits but the mind as well!

The challenge takes place in The Performance Lab, Cookstown, from 4pm on Saturday through to 4pm Sunday. A huge number of our members are taking part to help out, and everyone is welcome to drop by and join in too.

The aim of the challenge is quite simply to raise as much money as possible for Marie Curie.

My motivation for doing this is that my mother passed away from cancer a few months ago. She suffered for a long time, but Marie Curie nurses did an amazing job in helping both her and our family.

Nowadays everyone is affected by cancer and Marie Curie do an amazing job in helping patients and their families.

Anything you can spare is greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance for your support.
