Story

During lockdown in 2020, I’ve been using the 5 back garden steps to keep active & tackle challenges, like completing the height of Ben Nevis, then Mount Everest & the three highest peaks in North Africa.

Now, from Monday 18th May at 12pm, I’m going to dedicate 24 hours to walking & running on these steps: eating as I go, resting if necessary, going through the night & seeing how many steps I can achieve by the end.

I’m fundraising for Scottish Mountain Rescue, who, amongst others roles, volunteer at ‘Any Hour, Any Day, Any Weather’ to search, rescue & save the lives of people in difficulty in the outdoors. I have a great respect for their invaluable work & am happy to support them.

I really appreciate any donation to this challenge & please share my page with anyone who may have an interest. The target is £365.00 to reflect how Scottish Mountain Rescue are ready & active all year round.

Many thanks,

Jamie Neill.
