Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. We appreciate every single donation that is given as it's going to a very worthy cause. We don't expect to hit the £1.5k target but we can all dream.

Tom, Jamie and I are doing a 24 hour walkathon from the Britannia Stadium in Stoke back to Deepdale Stadium in Preston which is approximately 67 miles.

Walking 67 miles is mundane enough so we decided to add a twist to increase the challenge and keep us thinking. We're going to begin the walk with just one bottle of water, everything else we will need along the way we have to acquire for free.

In other words we must rely entirely on our wit, ingenuity, charm, charisma and Jamie's good looks in order to eat and drink for 24 hours.

The Katy Holmes Trust is a local charity and Tom, Jamie and myself are trying to raise all that we can by doing something worthwhile, and is a very worthy cause.

We're three young guys who want to contribute to a very good cause as much of what we take for granted in our lives, other people are desperate for.

To make a slight difference to one person's life would make us feel great and we aim to inspire others to do their bit too.

Thanks again.

Jake, Tom and Jamie.

The Katy Holmes Trust has been set up in memory of our beautiful daughter Katy to find a paediatric brain tumour cure. Brain tumours are the BIGGEST cancer killer of children in the UK and the most poorly funded by Government with only 0.7% given towards research. We aim to fund research ourselves.
