We provide a Brighter Future to enhance care for our patients

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

From 9am on October 7th to 9am on October 8th 2017, local musicians will be playing and singing their hearts out to raise money for the Brighter Futures Appeal to help bring radiotherapy facilities to Swindon's Great Western Hospital. If we can help them reach their target then cancer patients in the area will no longer have to make the daily journey to Oxford or Bath for treatment when they are least able.

There will be a huge variety of music.  If you would like to join in, visit our Facebook page for details.  We need people to play or sing, people to listen and buy a cup of tea and people to help. Get in touch!

The finale of the event will be the performance of a brand new piece of music, composed during the event.  Up until midnight on October 7th you can buy a musical note for a pound.  Just make a donation on here and leave your chosen pitch  (or pitches!) in the message.  Professional musician Craig Ball will have 8 hours to take all the notes and turn them into our grand finale.  Come and listen, or look out for it on youtube!  This is a great way to help us reach our total even if you can't come along on the day.  Really we would love to smash the pound a minute target!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
