We’ve been improving the lives of those who work or have worked at sea, and their families, for over 100 years. Established in 1917 as The King George's Fund for Sailors, to support the families of seafarers lost at sea during World War One, we support seafarers throughout their career and beyond.

Story

Welcome to the 2022 AP Moller Maersk Group fundraising page for the 24 Peaks Challenge in aid of The Seafarers' Charity.

Volunteers across all AP Moller Maersk brands have signed up to hike over 24 peaks, over 2400 feet, in less than 24 hours hiking time. The challenge will take place 1st-3rd July 2022. This will be the fourth 24 Peaks Challenge to be held in the Lake District by AP Moller Maersk. After starting in 2017, sadly being postponed in 2020 and 2021 due to Covid, we're now back this year ready to make this the most successful 24 Peaks Challenge yet! All this is in aid of The Seafarers’ Charity, who we have partnered with for many years.

The Seafarers’ Charity (formerly Seafarers UK), has a vision to create ‘a world where seafarers and their families are valued and free of need and disadvantage’. Giving to maritime charities brings truly life-changing impact for many who work – or have worked – at sea, and their families. The Seafarers' Charity reduce hardships experienced by seafarers by enabling environments where they can thrive, supporting their practical and welfare needs at home, in port and at sea, often far from their families and support systems.
