Story
As you may know, Janine, Shane, Caroline and I last year did 5km every day from 1 Dec to Christmas. This year we are joined by Áine and Michael and we are doing it all again. So we will have runners In Belfast, Bangor, Portadown and Washington DC!
This year's team is:
Aodhán Connolly, Janine Maher, Caroline Walker, Shane Greer, Michael Jenkins and Áine Gorman.
While most people will be thinking about presents we'll be concentrating on being able to keep putting one foot in front of the other day after day and all for a good cause.
The mental health charity Aware is 25 years old this year so no more fitting time than this to do our 25 x 5km runs. And every penny raised will make a difference!
£15 pays for one young person to be educated in understanding what depression is, what the symptoms are.
£100 can run a potentially life-saving AWARE support group for one week.
£1800 could fund a programme to help up to 16 people manage their depression by equipping them with skills for life
So please give what you can!
