The World Scout Jamboree (WSJ) is a World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) event, it happens every four years, each time hosted by a different country. In August of 2023, more than 40,000 Scouts from all over the world will gather in Korea for the 25 World Scout Jamboree. The programmes emphasise leadership and cultural understanding which will allow us to develop our voices as citizens of the future

Within Christchurch District 10 Young People and one Leader have been selected to represent Dorset as part of the UK Contingent. Our Contingent are more than just travel buddies. We are planners, fundraisers, motivators and mentors.

There is a lot to achieve in a short time but we'll leap at the challenge as we...Think Big. Dream Wild. Act Together.

Each attendee is required to fundraise £3750. This not only support our Scouts but also contributes towards other Scouts from developing countries to attend the event. So far we have held cake sales and hosted a stall at various fun days across Christchurch. There are many more events to come including quizzes, bingo, art auction and concert.
