Snowdonia Mighty Hike 2024 - full marathon · 25 May 2024 ·

In May 2024, we're hiking a half or full marathon through the beautiful and dramatic Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park to raise vital funds for people living with cancer.

Story

Hello everybody! I have signed up to the Eryri Mighty Hike in May, a 26.2 mile hike in Snowdonia on the 25th of May to raise much needed funds for MacMillan Cancer support and research.

I will be part of a four man team (three of whom are OS) walking this challenge - Father and son team John and Charlie Bushell, Richard Bushell (elder brother of John) and myself.

If you know of anyone who has suffered from cancer then you will know how important these charities are to those affected but also how important it is to support them so that they may continue their much needed work.

I have seen their support and work first hand and appreciate everything they have done and continue to do. It goes without saying the nurses and staff at MacMillan go above and beyond to support cancer sufferers and their families.

So, my ask is obvious but first of all please just pause and spare a moment and think of those you know or have heard of who have been affected by cancer.

Then, I would ask you to consider sponsoring me to smash through my minimum target of £250 and support me on walking the 26.2 miles. That distance may not seem far, but to do so in under a day regardless of the weather conditions Snowdonia will throw at us, having not walked more than about 8 miles in recent years will be a decent challenge! Every penny and pound helps and I will be immensely grateful for your support and encouragement. Thank you.
