Story

10th of September will be 2 years since we lost my daughter Maisie to mitochondrial disease. It feels like its been forever and no time at all, it definitely doesn't get any easier to live without her. But we're doing our best. In that time we've raised over £60k for Team Maisie, thanks to our amazing family and friends, qnd want to keep doing all we can to fight mitochondrial disease.

Mitochondrial disease awareness week also starts on september 13th, so it felt like a poignant time to climb some hills and raise some more money.

Me and my sister Naomi, and our two friends Jenna and Rory are taking on the 3 peaks challenge on September 5th, in memory of Maisie, and to raise much needed funds for the Lily Foundation working to support families like ours and find a cure for mitochondrial disease. They, as with all charities, have taken a big hit due to covid-19 with so many fundraising events cancelled. I know money is something we are all trying to be careful with at the moment but if you can spare anything at all for this amazing charity, we will be eternally grateful.

Please also pray to the weather and traffic gods that we can make it to the end in under 24 hours.
