30 miles for Alex

Gabrielle Latham is raising money for Sheffield Children's Hospital Charity
In memory of Alex Latham
We change children’s lives every day by pioneering ground-breaking medical treatment in a comfortable & engaging environment at Sheffield Children’s. All the money raised helps create a healthier future for children & young people, funding projects that are over & above the standard NHS provision.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. This year, our beautiful Alex should be celebrating her 30th birthday. She died aged 5, in 1997, and is loved, and missed, every day. We (me, Mike and our sons James and Jack) walked 30 miles when it was her birthday in August. We wanted to raise some money in her memory for the Children's Hospital Charity in Sheffield, where she received care 25 years ago. We walked  from just below Whitby up to Redcar, stopping at Staithes along the way, in the end it was 32.5 miles as we got a bit lost on day 2!   We had a little training walk by taking part in the Team Theo walk on 11 June, 10K around Chatsworth, raising funds for the same charity.
