CASCAID - raising money for the NSPCC
Campaign by NSPCC (RCN 216401 and SC037717)
CASCAID unites colleagues (and friends and family), across the asset management industry to raise money for charity. Since 2018, we've raised over £5 million for CRUK, GOSH and the NSPCC.

Story

We did it!

Across four countries in the rain, wind, and sunshine, Steven and I have run 360km between us over the last 28 days. With very sore legs and leaner bodies, we can finally say we’ve completed our CASCAID challenge.

We would like to thank our friends, colleagues, and families who supported us on our runs and put up with our scheduling, grumpiness, tiredness, and general obsession with running in September.

Most importantly, this was for the NSPCC, a vital charity that works to protect children across the country. Thank you to everyone who kindly sponsored and L&G for generously matching those sponsorships. Because of your generosity, we’ve raised around £10,500, beating our target.

As we shake off the aches and pains, we are humbled by the fact that the charity’s work continues 24/7. Incredibly, Helen Wagstaff and the Ambassadors have already raised over £500,000 for NSPCC via CASCAID. I have no doubt that collectively we will break through £1 million total by the mid 2023 end date.

Here’s to slowing down peacefully with a beer not thinking of running for a day!
