Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Between Friday 27th July 2018 and Sunday 29th July 2018. We will be cycling from the National Police Memorial on The Mall in London to the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire. The tour covers 180 miles over the 3 days. It raises a huge amount of money for Care of Police Survivors (COPS) and concludes by joining the COPS survivors weekend/annual service of remembrance.
I ride for PC James ‘Dixie’ Dixon, a true friend of mine who was killed on duty, serving the public when a car collided with his police motorcycle on Tuesday 5th December 2017. I ride for his family and friends, in particular his unborn baby (Due March 2018) and his wife Sam.
I can’t do anything to help bring this legend of a man back but I ask you to help me raise money and awareness of the COPS charity to enable them to do what they can to support those left behind by Dixie and a tragically high number of other police officers who died trying to protect the rest of us.
I probably don’t need to say anymore. If you’ve read this far then I already know you’ll donate what you can and it doesn’t need to be a lot. Genuinely anything helps. If you want to know more, then ask.
COPS is a UK registered charity dedicated to helping the families of Police Officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty rebuild their shattered lives. The police service does not have the resources to maintain support for the families beyond the immediate aftermath of the death. This is where COPS comes in. To ensure this help can continue please, PLEASE sponsor me!
