Story
Before I turn the big 3-0 at the end of the year (I know, you thought I wasn't a day over 27, right?) I'm entering 3 half marathons to raise support for Alzheimer's Society.
Dementia can be a cruel disease that gradually strips people of their ability to carry out daily tasks, and loved ones can become strangers. It's so painful to go through. Alzheimer's Society invest money in research into dementia care, cause, cure and prevention. They also offer crucial support to those affected by dementia.
So to raise these vital funds, I'm signed up to run (walk, maybe crawl?) the Forest of Dean Spring Trails on March 19th, the Tewkesbury Half on May 14th and finally the Robin Hood Half on September 24th.
In between I'll be keeping my toes in and muscles limbered with the Beat the Bore race by the Severn, the Gloucester 10k and the Wychwood Brewery Cotswold Classic 10 miler - no medals for this one, but plenty of celebratory beer at the finishing line!
Your donations will help keep me motivated, moving, and ultimately help Alzheimer's Society provide support for those affected by dementia. Thanks for stopping by.
