Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Hi from Carey, Will and Martin.
We're good friends with a passion for cycling. Inspired by Eddy Merckx and Lance Armstrong, we planned (in January 2011) to do a 'big bike ride' this year - in terms of mileage we will cover a typical stage of the Tour de France (Circa 120+ miles) however we will complete over two days.
We're planning on setting off from Sudbury, Suffolk; our destination is Southwold, Suffolk.
Day one (Saturday 8th October) will entail an 80 mile slog to our destination of Southwold and then onto Blaxhall Youth Hostel a further 20 miles down the road. We are aiming on setting off as early as possible so we can arrive and rest at the hostel knowing that we have the relatively small 45 mile journey back to Sudbury on Sunday 9th October.
Day two (Sunday 9th October) will entail the aforementioned 45 mile ride from the hostel back to Sudbury to hopefully rest and recover.
The decision to donate to Cancer Research UK was unanimous - an extremely poignant cause.
We will cover all of our own costs - donations go directly to Cancer Research UK.
