Story
This idea was discussed months ago in one of our 'Whatsapp Groups', why… I don’t really know! Does anybody fancy doing the 'Cumbria Way'? The response was – What is it?
For anyone that doesn’t know, like we never, it is a 70 mile walk from Carlisle to Ulverston. None of us are walker's / hiker's, unless a few miles with a pram counts! We are 3 cousins that were all born in Barrow, one now lives in Oxford and he is travelling up for it. Our good friend Stephen has volunteered to support and cheer us on from his camper van over the weekend.
So we have agreed to tackle this walk on 31st July over 3 days and 2 nights, if all goes to plan we will be back on the Sunday and hopefully The Farmers has a spare table outside, with 70 pints waiting, one for each mile!
This was originally just going to be something to for us to tick off and say we have done it. In the last week we have agreed that we like to raise a few quid for the charity MIND.
Mental Health Awareness is very important but it has never has been more important than now. We personally know people that have been affected and some unfortunately are no longer with us.
With your help, if we can raise enough money to make a small difference to even one person who is struggling, then we have achieved something.
