#3in4: Me, Laughty and Lee running for Cransley, in memory of Glenn
Fundraising for Cransley Hospice
Story
Those who knew my Dad know why we're doing this. He was a truly wonderful, kind and generous man.
But he was taken from us all too soon. And whilst he was slipping from our lives, the support and care he (and the rest of us) got from Cransley Hospice was truly fantastic.
This provoked me into returning their kindness in the best way, by raising money for them. So after a bit of soul searching, and finding the right activity which would be a challenge and not just an excuse, I decided to run #3in4, 3 marathons in 4 weeks. Darren Laughton (Laughty), after very little persuasion, agreed to join me in this challenge.
After some planning, and good fortune, I managed to secure places in the London, Brighton and MK marathons. Laughty wasn't as lucky as myself with getting a place for London, but has (foolishly, but very generously) still agreed to join in and support Cransley by running Brighton and MK. Soon after Lee Underwood contacted me to offer his support and run MK, and I joyfully accepted his kind offer. MK will be the toughest part of this, being the last and hardest course, so all help and support is welcome. So, in the space of 4 weeks, the 3 of us will be running 6 marathons.
And all of us are hoping you will support us all by giving generously to Cransley.
