3 Peaks Challenge · 25 March 2009
We are a team of 8 (6 walkers & 2 drivers), attempting to successfully complete the 3 Peaks Challenge...
...climbing the highest mountains in Scotland (Ben Nevis: 1344m), England (Scafell Pike: 978m) & Wales (Snowdon: 1085m)
The aim is to climb all 3 mountains plus drive the 450 miles in between within 24 hours. This is taking place on 23-24 May 2009 and, all going according to plan, will involve climbing Scafell Pike in the dark.
Please sponsor us in support of the YCT, a very worthy charity providing free holidays for young people suffering with cancer. (See opposite for more information and the charity's website).
We are covering all our costs (transport/accommodation/fuel etc) ourselves so be assured that every penny that you donate will go straight to the charity.
By way of matched giving and corporate sponsorship we expect to secure £3,500 in total, giving us a good head-start in reaching our fundraising goal.
We are ready to rise to the challenge and have begun training in the hope that we achieve our aim of conquering these mountains...
...please do what you can to help us achieve our aim of raising a meaningful sum to make a difference to the YCT and the young people whose lives they are trying to improve.
Thank you in anticipation of your support.
