Weston Hospicecare provides expert end-of-life care, free of charge, to people with life-limiting illnesses. Our goal is people can live as well as they can, for as long as they can; we help them feel like family and friends again, not just patients and carers.

Story

The 4 of us had the crazy idea that it would be fun to tackle climbing Ben Nevis, Scaffell Pike and Snowdon (the highest mountains in Scotland, England & Wales) in 24 hours! Should be fun right??! We have chosen Weston Hospicecare as our charity of choice due to their amazing care and support to Pete Telford and Sarah's family when he was diagnosed with cancer and sadly passed way on 1st December 2017. Pete loved his fitness so we feel this challenge will do him proud.

Receiving an end-of-life diagnosis can be difficult, not just for the patient but also for their loved ones. At Weston Hospicecare, the team of palliative care experts are dedicated to working together to provide specialist support. Their social, emotional, psychological, spiritual and physical care helps guide people through one of the most difficult experiences they will ever face. With only 20% of their funding coming from the NHS, they have to raise £4 million each year to fund their care - something that's only made possible by community support.
