Our friend and fellow mountaineering club member, Wendy Bridgestock, very sadly passed away in 2017 from Motor Neurone Disease.

Herriot Hospice Homecare provided support to Wendy and her family as they do for so many others throughout the northeast.

In memory of Wendy and to raise much needed funds for Herriot Hospice Homecare, I will be completing two circuits of the Yorkshire 3 Peaks route on 31st July 2020, once clockwise and once anti-clockwise, in a target time of under 15 hours.

The 50 mile route summits each peak: Pen-y-ghent(2227ft), Whernside(2415ft) and Ingleborough(2372ft), twice, with a total ascent of 10,400ft.

I will be accompanied for parts of the run by my son Edward (11), Wendy's son-in-law, John, and other members of the Phoenix Mountaineering Club.
