Story

'£1'ing the 3407 metres for Charlie - National 3 Peaks 11-12 June 2015

Thank you for expressing an interest in supporting Charlie Grantham with his battle against Neuroblastoma.  As I am sure that you are aware, this is an extremely aggressive form of childhood cancer and one which brings with it an 80% chance of relapse.  This heightened probability of relapse is the reason for us raising money through the NCCA, supporting Charlie with any further treatment he may require abroad.

'Charlie's Challengers' provides interested individuals and groups with the opportunity to complete a 'challenge' in support of Charlie.   We currently have a Facebook page 'Charlie's Challengers', so feel free to join us and follow all the updates with Charlie's Journey.

In our first year and with the help of many individuals, families and companies, we have raised £32,000 for Charlie and possible relapse treatment in the future.

Last year, a group of Charlie's Challengers completed a 170 mile coast to coast bike ride from Morecambe to Bridlington.  The amount of support received in 'sponsoring a mile' was amazing.

This year, 9 walkers and 2 support crew will take on the 3 highest peaks in the UK (Snowden, Scafell and Ben Nevis) aiming to conquer them in under 24 hours.

While we 'pound' each and every one of the 3407 metres, we hope that you could donate a £1 for each metre of the journey.  Sponsoring just £1 mile will make a difference, but if you can sponsor more than a metre, well that would be amazing!

thank you
