Irene's Sassy Sisters is a group of friends walking in memory of our dear friend Irene Gray who sadly lost her battle with cancer.Irene was a much loved mum, wife and friend who enjoyed an adventure and always had a smile on her face.We planned to take part in the Maggie's Culture Crawl on Friday 19th June in memory of Irene, to raise awareness and funds for this amazing charity who provide care and support for families having to cope with the devastating diagnosis of cancer The culture crawl has been curtailed by covid but funds are needed now more than ever. .Irene participated in some of the activity groups offered my Maggies including the walking group and qigong. Irene really enjoyed these and they provided her with support and a welcome distraction.As a team we will fundraise and walk together ( next year) to support Maggies - as family friends we will remember Irene and share the happy memories, love and friendship she gave us over the years.
