Peak District Ultra Challenge · 3 July 2021 to 4 July 2021 ·
I'm not really sure why we signed up for this, I personally heard the word 'hike' and thought that it would be easy. As it turns out it's really not!
The challenge is to walk 100km (around 60 miles) non-stop. That means setting off at 7:00am on Saturday the 3rd (also Emma's birthday - poor old girl), walking all day, and all night, finishing some time around midday on Sunday. That'll be over 24 hours of nothing but being on our feet and moving.
We have dedicated so much of our free time to going on huge walks for most of our weekends to train for this, to the point where I personally am not sure I will make it through this one (my hips is shot at). So please, do dig deep and give generously, Macmillan is a really worthwhile charity, so your donations will be going to a really good cause and will help a lot of people in need, and we could really use the motivation.
Thanks everyone,
Paul, Emma, Laura, Sammy

Sky Betting and Gamings partnership with Macmillan, began in January 2020 and thanks to the generosity of team members and corporate support our fundraising total reached £46,272.14 in the first year, which is amazing given the circumstances.Since our partnership began, team members have thrown themselves into fundraising by hosting a quiz night, donating the cost of morning coffees, holding raffles, bake sales and even decorating boiled eggs to support our partnership! We've also been running, cycling and walking hundreds of Miles for Macmillan! It doesn't stop there and were going to make 2021 our best year yet! We've a jam-packed year ahead to raise as much as we can to support people living with cancer.Thank-you Sky Betting and Gaming for helping Macmillan to do whatever it takes, to support people living with cancer.
