Story

A quick ‘hello’ to say thanks, for visiting our page today!
As some of you may be aware, Cancer Research is an invaluable charity for anybody suffering with cancer or those who have lost loved ones to cancer.
Year on year, a very special lady, Christine McCabe, who is also a lifetime member of City of Bradford Swimming Club, organises the annual fundraising event ‘Nifty Fifty’. The ‘Nifty Fifty’ consists of ex-swimmers and current swimmers participating in a charity swimming relay race to raise funds for Cancer Research. Christine was almost at her target of £10,000 before the outbreak of Covid-19. To enable Christine to reach her target of £10,000, a current swimmer, Gabe Medd and his mum, Alison Medd, have pledged to run 400km to raise the shortfall of £400 for Cancer Research. They are currently running as much as they can and so far have completed 283.66km.
Thank you for taking the time to read this today. Any and all donations will be kindly received- let’s do this!
