Story

Thanks for coming to the fundraising page of my 40 Beers at 40 effort to raise money for Ovarian Cancer Action. Hopefully, this means you are about to make a donation...

Donating through this site is simple, fast and secure. It is also an efficient way to sponsor me: Ovarian Cancer Action will receive your money fast. And if you are a UK taxpayer, remmber to Gift Aid your donation so that an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

All donations will be welcome, obviously, but if you're wondering how much to give, I've created a handy guide. Of course, none of the money is going to my malted habit -- I'm buying the beers myself -- but you might want to sponsor me on a symbolic "per beer" basis. Here are four suggested giving levels, based on the four economic classes of people I know:

Occupation                                 Per beer donation (€)*       Total (€)*

lab animals, NGO interns            0.10                                 4.00

people with crap jobs                0.50                                 20.00

people with good jobs               1.00                                 40.00

people too wealthy to work        2.00                                 80.00

But, again, all donations will be warmly welcome. So please sponsor me now, and many thanks for your support.

Regards,

Andrew

* one euro (€) is now about 0.70 pounds sterling or US$1.40
