I ADORE cake. I love it. Cake and chocolate. However, there is something I love more - Africa. And as the famine in the Horn in Africa grows increasingly worse and children are suffering from malnourishment, I am desperate to do something to help (look here if you need more info).  

So, I am going to go on a 40 hour famine to raise money for UNICEF.

On 01 September not a drop of food will cross my lips for 40 hours. I will be allowed liquids such as water, coffee and tea but that is all.

Please sponsor me a tiny amount for each hour that I manage. Just pledge what your total would be if I made the whole 40 hours and hold thumbs, knowing it is all for a good cause.

If I don't make the full 40 hours, I'll pay everyone the difference back. Hows that for keeping me on track?
