Story
Quite simply, my mother suffered from dementia, so it is a charity that is really close to my heart.
Dementia is an umbrella term used to describe a range of progressive neurological disorders, that is, conditions affecting the brain. There are over 850,000 people living with dementia in the UK today and this figure is estimated to rise to over 1,000,000 by 2021.
Dementia UK provide the specialist and compassionate support for all families that need it through their Admiral Nurse Service.
My challenge to one and all is be innovative and raise as much as you can for this amazing charity.
