Some friends and I will be hiking the 4-State Challenge, a 44 mile (give or take) section of the Appalachian Trail connecting Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.  The Challenge is to complete the entire section in less than 24 hours.  

I have done the Maryland Challenge twice before, but this time I hope that the journey will inspire more support for Gabriel Network, the charity where I serve as Executive Director.  I care deeply for both the mothers and children we serve, as well as the volunteers who walk with them, and I wanted to do something to show that care and help serve them better.

Over the past 25 years, Gabriel Network has served over 18,000 women and children through our network of supporting churches and our maternity homes.  Together we have brought hope for a better life to so many.  I am hoping to raise $100 for every mile walked to help us save more lives and serve mothers even better this year.
