Hi, I am Eleanor Bunyard, Registered Home Manager of Viera Gray House care home in Barnes in south-west London. The residents living within my home are all living with Dementia, an awful disease that strips individuals of all the memories of life and the abilities to decide how they wish to live the life they have left. 

I have decided to walk a huge 46 mile from Surrey to Brighton in June 2020, which will take a minimum of 15 hours if I don’t stop. I will begin my journey at midnight and walk through the night. I hope to arrive by 5pm the following day. 

The reason I am doing this is because I want to raise money for the Viera Gray House Residents Amenity fund. The money raised will be used for the residents outings and events which will make their life interesting and enjoyable. It will also go towards purchasing items to stimulate the mind, body and movement. I hope to redesign my homes back garden to a sensory garden, filled with birds, sweet smelling flowers, colour and space to relax. 

I can only do this with help from fundraising and that’s where you come in. So please help me raise money for my wonderful home.
