Malaya is an inspiration to me. In a world where many of us can be ungrateful and selfish at times, malaya is a shining star who never complains despite the huge hurdles she has already had to overcome. Throughout her very short life I have never seen her give any less than 100%.
Her smile and laugh lights up any room she goes in to. She dosnt know the word quit no matter what challenge she has thrown upon her and inspires me to work harder and be better everyday.
I want to try and give as much support to malaya because she has never once asked for it but Is so deserving of it!
Starting Friday the 3rd of March at 8pm I will be doing the David goggins 4x4x48. This will include running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours. All of my runs will be uploaded onto this page from strava each time I complete 4 miles.
Malaya's medical condition of Cerebral palsy means that she has evolving needs and constant care requirements. Unfortunately the NHS and the Care Services in the UK fall well short in offering her all the support she needs, With ZERO physiotherapy clinic input her parents have had to source private paediatric Physiotherapy to help assist with mobility, stretching, coordination work, weight baring on feet, kneeling and physical progression as well as rehabilitation after medical procedures.
2023 will hold some big challenges for Malaya with hip surgery already scheduled for February, the rehabilitation that will follow and further spinal surgery planned for the near future!
My target of £5200 will afford Malaya 1 x Physiotherapy session per week for a year! Thats right, its just over £100 per hour!!
Help me raise this money to get this girl the ongoing care she needs and deserves
