Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 20th November 2010, for 1 week I will be taking part in something called the Kinabalu Challenge (an adventure race in Malaysian Borneo)
During the event we will be helicoptered into the jungle and make camp. From there we will then run, mountain bike, kayak, white water raft, bamboo raft and finally race up Mt Kinabalu the highest mountain in South East Asia otherwise known as 'The Stairmaster from hell'!
I'm undertaking this event with a team from British Military Fitness. Full details of what the event involves can be found here:

Clearly I wouldn't be intending to do something as daft as this without trying to raise some money for charity!
The charity I have chosen is the Manitha Neyam Trust. This is a charity that is based in Sri Lanka, which is where my family is originally from.
The trust supports projects for children, the elderly and disabled people in areas of Sri Lanka that have been affected by the Tsunami and Civil war...There is still alot to be done!
Projects include; orphanages, care homes for the elderly and schools, as well as various medical facilities.
Full details of the charity and what they do can be found here:

There are other charities that are involved in providing aid to this region. However I have picked this one because due to the involvement of family friends, I can be sure that the money is being spent appropriately.
Anything you can donate towards this cause will be greatly appreciated and received.
Thanks for reading and please dig deep!
Andy.
