Story
Hello Family and Friends and Other Assorted Attachments
I asked my siblings if they would give money to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association if I did a half marathon. They said yes, and now I have blisters. This is for Jane, the first of the six siblings. Typical of her, she did not develop any common or garden variety of PH; no, she had to have the special, really horrible kind, Primary Pulmonary Hypertension. She never did take the easy alternative! PHA needs money to do research and to raise awareness so that diagnosis is swift. Remember how well-informed Jane was about PPH? Always a brilliant researcher, she used PHA as a regular resource for information and advice, not least of all through meeting fellow sufferers on-line. So there's a direct connection between Jane and PHA. Please support their work.
I have chosen to do the Edinburgh half marathon because Jane had a particular love of Scotland, and of course I get to stay with Helen . . . who will no doubt have a suitable tonic for my ills after the race! I'll be raising my glass to you all!
Lots of love
Juju
