We are PCD Support UK. We’re here for those affected by PCD, we talk about PCD as widely as possible and we champion research to improve its diagnosis, management and treatment. Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia is a rare, genetic disease (1 in 7,500 people), causing recurrent respiratory infections.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online. The PCD support group need all the money it can get, to aid genetic and pre natal testing, as well as supporting the families of children with this dreadful condition and raising awareness to the medical profession.

(28/05/2007)  Have just heard Kallum is to go to the Brompton for an operation on 24th June, so assess the damage to his lungs, and find out the severity of his arthritis, also to have his heart monitored. will keep you posted.

(31/05/2007) WOW! We had the BEST TIME EVER! Paul, from ELSTREE PROPS rocks! The children came away with so many wonderful things, and so many wonderful memories! Met DERMOT O'LEARY!! We were metres away from the BIG BROTHER HOUSE! Guess who has tickets for the BIG BROTHER FINAL????

(27/06/07) Well we are back home now after nearly a week at the Brompton!  Kallum had a dreadful time going under the anesthetic, but all is well now, will not go into details of his op, as it was not very nice.  We had a couple of wobbly moments, but we are home and exhausted now!  Thank you for the support I received xxxx

(01/07/07) Hooray Britain is smoke free!!!!!!  That aside, we had a wonderful time courtesy of the guys at Elstree Film heritage group, especially Bob Redman, there are not many genuinely kind people in this world but he is definately one of them! xxxx

(29/07/07)  Well Kallum is back in Hospital, he has had a really nasty infection, and we had to go to the Brompton for him to have a central line put in.  He has as always bounced back, and has another 10 days of IV's to go, but is well enough to be allowed out for a few hours during the day which is brill!

The "ANGEL PUPPET" sold for US $185.55 (£93.96). Grateful thanks to Aaron Shultz, of IOWA, US!!

Thank you so much to all of you that have and will donate to this cause, it all helps to fund a very under resourced element!! You have no idea what it means to me!

It is not just Kallum that has this illness in my family, my lovely 11 year old nephew Christian has it also!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (Pcd) Family Support Group will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
