10,500 people in the UK have ataxia which is a progressive neurological condition that disrupts the messages sent from our brains to our muscles that are used to move, speak, listen and see. Ataxia UK funds research into finding treatments and a cure and provide support until they are found.

Story

In February 2012 we lost our close friend Andy Cook. Andy had Friedreich’s Ataxia, a progressive disease of the nervous system which in his case unfortunately affected his heart. Due to a shared family interest in rugby, we are cycling to all the home nation rugby grounds – 650 miles in 11 days, in memory of Andy and to raise money and awareness for Ataxia UK.
