5000 skips a day in May · 31 May 2020
As a big well known supermarket chain tell us… every little helps... which is why, to raise money for the National Emergencies Trust who are providing funding to communities across the country during the Corona Virus pandemic, I am committing to do 5,000 skips every day in May.
Should I complete this challenge, by the close of day on 31 May, I will have completed a total of 155,000 rope jumps. It’s my hope that by taking on this challenge, you’ll support me in my goal to raise £1,550 for the National Emergencies Trust Coronavirus appeal which is providing funding to local charities and grassroots community groups to support the most vulnerable amongst us.
But… you know what the great thing about skipping is? anyone can do it!!
So, each week, I am going to nominate 5 people to do 1000 skips with me the following week. If you’re nominated, do your skips, donate £5 to the National Emergencies Trust Coronavirus Appeal, then nominate 5 other people; those people then also nominate 5 other people, and so on until maybe, just maybe, we can raise some decent funds for those in need on our own doorsteps… all without leaving the house! #staysafe!
Don’t have a skipping rope? Don’t worry... just jump with me... an imaginary rope will work just as well and it won’t trip you up!
Don’t want to skip? ‘Double under’ and sponsor me to do it instead! It is a challenge and I’d love to know it’s making a difference! Maybe you could even double it and donate an extra fiver? But whatever you do, make sure you still nominate 5 more people to take on the mantel.
