Hey there peeps๐Ÿค—. Thank you for taking the time to read our story. We are raising funds for the Marfan trust and awareness of Marfan syndrome. It is a life long incurable condition which can be managed well with the proper knowledge, information, education and funding to continue developing medical research.

The Marfan trust works hard to fund all of its own research, and therefor relys heavily on donations and fundraising to continue its medical research.

My 2 children both have Marfan syndrome. It is an inherited condition in 85% of cases, however, can occurs without inheritance in 15% of cases.

Marfan syndrome is a connective tissue disorder, which can affect all the major organs in the body to varying extremes. It is mainly the heart, eyes, lungs, and skeletal system that is affected.

My children personally receive excellent care from their doctors and consultants at St George's hospital in London. They will also continue to rely on that excellent care and medical intervention throughout the rest of their lives. The fact that the knowledge, support and medical help is there for them is a huge support and relief to me and them.

Because of all of the fantastic work the Marfan trust does, we wanted to give something back.

We have set ourselves a challenge ( a massive challenge for us๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜!!!!) starting on October 16th 2016, to collectively run  500 event miles in 1year.

I have successfully completed the first run of the challenge๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป.... I ran the Bright 10 mile on sun 16th October and loved it๐Ÿ˜‹.

I will be updating my facebook page with information on Marfan syndrome to try and raise awareness. Please feel free to share these posts to try and get the word out there.... you never know... it might just save a life๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜ƒ. I will also be updating face book on all the challenges we take on as we run off the miles๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

Any donations you can make towards this challenge will be so gratefully received, no matter how small. As they say at Tesco's.... every little helps๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Even just sharing this page, spreading the word and increasing awareness and knowledge of Marfan syndrome will be a massive help to us in this challenge.

Thank you so much for your time and support๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ‘๐ŸปX
